About

I grew up in the sickly-sweet south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, drawing to fill in the time until the time came to take it more seriously.

While at the very serious RMIT I dabbled in a variety of mediums. I did black-and-white photography, all the while dreaming of the day it could be done digitally; and sculpture until I realised that power tools were quite heavy.

After a brief ordeal working as a secondary school art teacher where, despite my protestations, the students insisted upon spelling art with a silent f, I abandoned teaching in favour of a career that truly reflected my passions: garbage truck driving.

I now live in tropical Ballarat where I continue to hone my skills as a painter and drawer, dedicating myself to being one of Australia’s hardest working part-time artists.
